The RFFL Operations Manual is the canonical policy source for league rules, bylaws, procedures, playoff interpretation, tiebreakers, and operational authority.
What It Controls
| Area | Notes |
|---|
| League Structure | Team count, schedule eras, divisions, and format changes |
| Rosters & Lineups | Roster configuration, positional caps, locks, and illegal lineup handling |
| Scoring | Offensive, kicking, and D/ST scoring rules |
| Draft & Keepers | Draft format, lottery, slot selection, keeper declarations, and timeout consequences |
| Waivers & FAAB | Budget, bidding, tiebreakers, processing schedule, and edge cases |
| Trades | Trade approval and keeper-right treatment |
| Scheduling | Week 1 median policy and standard head-to-head schedule policy |
| Tiebreakers & Playoffs | Seeding, Alpha Bowl, Beta Bowl, and bracket authority |
| Conduct & Integrity | Tanking, collusion, Dead Rat Clause, and investigation process |
| Documentation Standards | Document control, taxonomy, naming, lifecycle, and writing standards |
Key Source Rule
ESPN is a platform source, but it is not always the final RFFL authority for standings, seeding, or bracket interpretation. When ESPN and the Operations Manual conflict on league-specific rules, use the Operations Manual and mark any unresolved conflict for Commissioner review.
