# Appearance

Mintlify owns the global documentation shell for the RFFL Knowledge Base.

## Current Standard

## Retired Approach

The old live appearance editor has been retired. It changed too many shell elements without a design-system structure.

That made the docs look inconsistent across pages and modes.

## Rule

Do not add ad hoc CSS or JavaScript that restyles the Mintlify shell globally.

Global appearance changes must originate from the design-system page, use named tokens, and stay limited to approved shell surfaces.
