# Draft Narratives

> RFFL draft stories, institutional memory, skipped picks, and notable draft events.

Draft narratives preserve context that is important to the league but is not itself a standings or finance source.

## Current Narratives

| Narrative                   | Summary                                                                                    |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Intentionally skipped picks | Owners may skip late picks, often Round 16, to preserve post-draft flexibility             |
| 2016 draft slot timeout     | The Nashville draft process produced the timeout rule now indexed as a governance decision |
| 2018 BRIM incident          | BRIM missed remaining picks at the Smiling Moose draft party after leaving early           |
