# Glossary

> Controlled RFFL terms for rules, seasons, teams, and documentation.

| Alpha Bowl                | Championship bracket for top playoff placements.                                                        |
| Beta Bowl                 | Consolation bracket for lower playoff placements.                                                       |
| Commissioner Confirmation | Final authority for ambiguous or disputed league facts.                                                 |
| DCB                       | Document Control Block, the YAML metadata block required by RFFL documentation standards.               |
| Division Code             | Stable RFFL division identifier: AA, BB, CC, or DD.                                                     |
| FAAB                      | Free-agent acquisition budget used for waiver bidding.                                                  |
| KORM                      | King of Rage Mountain, the RFFL side game with its own rules and results.                               |
| Operations Manual         | The authoritative RFFL rules, bylaws, procedures, and policy document.                                  |
| Placeholder Team          | Synthetic team code such as `AWAY` or `BYE`, excluded from standings.                                   |
| Provisional               | Useful for review, but not final authority.                                                             |
| Ruling                    | Official interpretation of an existing rule.                                                            |
| Decision                  | Governance action that changes or establishes league policy.                                            |
| Season Recap              | Generated or maintained season page with standings, playoff outcome, payouts, draft recap, and sources. |
| Source of Truth           | The canonical location for a specific fact.                                                             |
| Structured Season Folder  | A season year folder with validated data files such as draft, H2H, boxscores, and recap files.          |

## Controlled Team Terms

Use canonical team codes from the registry when referring to teams in structured data. Historical or ESPN-specific aliases should be resolved through the alias registry before appearing in generated outputs.
